What we are trying to build

Poker Mentor is an AI poker coach built around the sessions players actually play. We are at an early stage, building a new format of coaching rather than another library of poker content.

The problem we are working on

Serious players rarely lack information. Training sites, videos, solvers and study groups all exist. What is missing is support at the moment it matters: while a session is running, when a decision feels wrong, when focus goes, and in the half hour afterwards when the session is still fresh and almost nobody reviews it.

Why coaching around real sessions is different

Static content is made before your session and does not know anything about it. A scheduled coaching call happens days later, based on the hands you happened to save and can still remember. Both are useful, and both sit outside the loop where your results are actually produced.

Continuous coaching sits inside that loop. Because the coach is present before, during and after the session, the conversation is about what you really did, not a reconstructed version of it. That makes reflection cheap enough to actually happen — which, in our view, is the part most players skip.

Personalized improvement over time

A single conversation can solve a single question. The thing we care about is the line across many sessions: which mistakes keep returning, which goals stick, where the game is changing and where it is not. That is why memory and context are central to the product rather than a feature on top of it.

Over time the aim is that the coaching becomes specific to you — not generic advice, but advice that starts from what you have already worked on.

What we are honest about

Peter is an AI persona, not a human coach and not a licensed professional. Poker Mentor does not solve hands, does not promise results, and does not replace technical coaching or solver work. It is early software, and it is being shaped by the players using it — feedback is the most valuable thing we can get at this stage.
